Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral provides a beautiful space for the wedding liturgies of parishioners and other members of parishes in the Archdiocese.  At least one member of the wedding party, either bride or groom, must be a practicing Roman Catholic for the wedding to take place. 

The staff assists those preparing to celebrate the Sacrament of Matrimony. It is required for those planning marriage to phone the parish office at least six (6) months in advance to reserve a tentative date and schedule an appointment with a priest to discuss their plans.  Following the Archdiocesan directives, all couples are required to receive pre-marriage instructions.  Various options are available, details of which are to be discussed.

Basilica of St. Joseph Proto-Cathedral celebrates weddings at the following times:  
                                  Friday evenings from 5:00-7:00 p.m.
                                  Saturday afternoons from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m.
                                  Saturday evenings from 6:00-7:00 p.m.
