Ministry to Sick and Homebound:
This ministry fulfills Christ’s command to visit the sick, taking Holy Communion to those unable to come to Church because of age of illness. An Extraordinary minister of the Holy Communion is a tangible link between the parish’s celebration of the Eucharist and reminds them of their union with Christ, and their own union with the community from which they are separated. This ministry is open to commissioned Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion or to those willing to be commissioned.

Nursing home visits provide a Catholic presence to area care facilities. It is a way to keep the Catholic residents connected with their faith community. EMHC provide weekly communion, and assist the priest as a monthly mass.
